In March this year, Roberto Agosta e Julian Lair, our Vice President, went on their annual visit to Sierra Leone. It is Roberto and Julian’s shared passion for helping people with disabilities in this country that brought them together on this their fifth trip. As always, they were hosted by Pastor Mambud of SLASA and Dr Kebbie of NRC.

Julian’s experience as an orthopaedic surgeon brings participants a deeper understanding of the needs of people with amputations who are the beneficiaries of these missions.

Again this year they were joined by Nelson Mubiru, one of SwissABILITY’s technical trainers from Uganda. Nelson runs his own orthopaedic workshop in Uganda and has an unparalleled passion for serving people with disabilities.
