From Ghana to Uganda, SwissABILITY aims totrain as many orthopedic technicians in Africa aspossible, contemporarily restoring mobility toamputee patients whose disability cost themtheir independance.

During the first week of August, SwissABILITY facilitated an orthopedic training in Uganda, at theNkolo Orthopedics Rehabilitation Services (NORS), in the Luweero District.

The training was organized and taught by ourpartner Nelson Mubiru, who trained five professionals in the sector. The team then restored mobility to ten amputee patients, who received a new tibial prosthesis. Seven of them are members of the Ugandan Amputee Football Federation , with whom SwissABILITY has established a fruitful partnership.
