On Saturday, April 15, 2023, the first Ordinary General Assembly of SwissABILITY members was held in the Sonvico Multipurpose Hall.

Over thirty members enthusiastically participated in the event. In just seven months of operation, SwissABILITY has achieved an incredible string of successes and plans to continue 2023 with so many activities to support countries in the Global South.

The Assembly was a moment dedicated not only to what has been done, but to what SwissABILITY counts on doing in the coming years. In fact, members were projected into the future through the presentation of all the projects that are already in the pipeline and will be implemented in the second half of 2023 and in the years to come. Most importantly, they were able to hear some of the stories of the beneficiaries of SwissABILITY projects. Stories which are often tragic, but overflowing with humanity and hope for a better future.

The Assembly then unanimously approved the accounts, the 2022 Financial and Audit Report and the 2023 Budget of the Association. With enthusiastic applause, the Assembly finally confirmed for approval the SwissABILITY Board (consisting of President Tomislav Matiević, Vice-President Julian Lair, and Board member Paolo Rossi) for the year 2023 as well, enthusiastically concluding the first Assembly of an association that is changing the lives of as many people as possible for the better, one day after another.
