On January 26, 2023, our Program Manager Alessandra Aries had the opportunity to visit the workshop of one of our partners on the field – The Accessibility Institute TAI – in Kenya.
TAI manufactures and distributes Safari Seat, affordable, all-terrain wheelchairs that enable people with disabilities in Africa to regain their mobility and live independent lives.
The workshop produces about 15 wheelchairs per month, which can be adjusted according to patient needs, and employs four local employees.
