The training week in Uganda was intense and full of enthusiasm. The activities took place in theworkshop of the Mulago National Referral Hospital, located in the immediate vicinity of the university hospital in Kampala.
The 21 trained orthopedic technicians (P&O) worked side by side with a large group of third-year P&O students, practicing together how to apply the MonoLimb technology. The workshop, which was large enough to accommodate all participants, enabled 15 prostheses to be made for the beneficiaries.
At the end of the training, the team traveled west to visit the new Nkolo Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Center (NORC), located a few kilometers from the premises that had been rented since its foundation.
Subsequently, Roberto Agosta and Nelson Mubiru attended the conference of the National Association of Orthopaedic Technologists (NOAT) in Eldoret, Kenya.
