On 17 October 2022, the first official meeting was held between all the members of the SwissABILITY Operational Team, made up of the Executive Director Roberto Agosta, the Regional Director Nicole Rossi and the Program Manager Alessandra Aries; and the members of the Board of Directors, made up of the President Tomislav Matiević and the Committee member Paolo Rossi. Vice-president Julian Lair, on the other hand, attended the meeting remotely.
During the meeting, everyone had the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their expectations and goals. It was clear that each member is different from the other, both from a personal and professional standpoint and it is precisely this diversity that constitutes a plus for SwissABILITY. Everyone’s experiences, skills and knowledge will be complementary in order to guarantee the best possible result.
Our first projects and missions was discussed at the meetings. Over November and December, the entire operational team will participate in SwissABILITY’s mission to Mozambique and will include visits to future projects and an orthopedic training.
Both the Operational Team and the Board of Directors shared equal levels of motivation for this new beginning. In comparison to the breadth and depth of the need, we feel insufficient as a team, but we are sure that even a single changed life would be worth the effort and energy we put into all our projects.
