SwissABILITY is back in Mozambique six months after its last mission. From June 5 to 9, 2023, we have indeed organized an additional training for orthopedic professionals in Nampula, in the north of the country.
It was an exciting mission that consolidated SwissABILITY’s presence in the country and resulted in the training of nine professionals, the donation of 12 new prostheses (and one in preparation), and the distribution of five wheelchairs.
Our goal? To train orthopedic technicians in Nampula and Lichinga to reach the majority of professionals in all northern regions. And to partially cover the country’s important rehabilitation needs.
12 prostheses manufactured, but more will follow because the technicians have made a commitment to us to continue using the technologies they have learned once they return to work.
